ABOUT

Invitation

Life can be tough to figure out on your own. I'm here to collaborate with you in a process where we explore, uncover and understand you and your experience. I offer respect, and genuine empathy while I gently challenge you to look at your blind spots and core beliefs. We work together in the here and now to integrate and work through relational patterns and challenging emotions that can make a profound impact in your life.

bring a calming, engaging and dynamic presence to your therapy as well as a wealth of experience. The therapy process can empower you to make wiser choices, feel more whole and more at home in your self.

If you come for couples or adult family counseling, my hope is to facilitate understanding, acceptance, and often increased closeness and healthier boundaries with you and your loved ones. I'm here to help you work through the challenging and tender places that need more attention.

Race & Class Privilege & Inequality

I acknowledge my white privilege, racism and class privilege. For this reason, I offer sliding scale spots if needed. Please don't hesitate to ask.

The land I live and practice on was originally inhabited by the Ohlone and Ramaytush indigenous tribes. In addition, I acknowledge the many crimes of US history that have deeply oppressed people of color, such as slavery. Systemic racism continues and I pledge to dismantle it as much as possible.

How and with Who I Work

I practice an integral, integrative, relational psychodynamic therapy. Many schools of thought inform my approach including Experiential, Transpersonal, Existential, Humanistic, Somatic, Energetic, Family Systems, and more. I will select appropriate therapeutic techniques, and structure treatment based on a client’s difficulties and needs. I work with couples, individuals as well as adult families.

I collaborate with people from all walks of life from various ages, races, genders, sexual orientations, abilities, sizes, religions and many different life situations.

Therapist / Client Fit

The fit of our personalities is most important to begin our work together. I hope you reach out to further explore if we would be a good fit for working together. I will be present with you, strive to understand you and the unique mix of who you are and what you are going through.

Education, Training, and Personal Experience

I have a Masters in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) and a Bachelors in Sociology from UC Santa Cruz. I have trained in psychotherapy at the Golden Gate Integral Counseling Center, the Marina Counseling Center, as well as through top mentors in the field. My experience as a professional therapist is going on a decade.

Most important, much of what I offer comes from my own personal life work and self-realization over the last twenty years. I have done my own deep dive into ongoing relational psychoanalysis, exploring the many facets of where we can go in this work, the vulnerability of being a patient, and the work it takes in the real world to truly change. I have also participated in my own family therapy and couples therapy. In addition, I draw from spiritual experiences, practices, and study of eastern and western approaches to healing.
